I am an artist, designer and art educator living and working in the East Bay of Northern California. I began selling wearable sculpture and jewelry made from horsehair and other natural materials in 2013.
My fiber work and wearable sculpture are inspired by natural phenomena great and small - from lunar cycles to tiny ocean creatures. I grew up riding horses on the Colorado Front Range, and I always loved using and collecting tack made from leather and horsehair. My relationship to this material is nostalgic and respectful - so I only use hair that is cruelty free.
I use processes that are repetitive and comforting, like binding, felting and weaving. I make every piece by hand and work in limited editions released each spring and fall annually. I love collaborating and creating one-of-a-kind decor and wearable work, please inquire about commissions. I also offer wholesale. Please get in touch if you are interested in carrying my work in your shop.
I will be featuring my latest work at Renegade Craft Fair on November 19 & 20 at Fort Mason in SF
